Victoria is a beautiful town by any definition. Based on the number of coffee shops alone, and without speaking a word to a local, it is abundantly clear that the locals care about the coffee they drink and are motivated to proudly support their baristas and cafes.

Hey Happy

A sleek coffee bar serving up java drinks & an assortment of pastries in a snug interior. With its lime green walls, large windows, and pastry-filled display cases, the ambience inside is just as cheerful as its name would suggest. Definitely our favourite coffee spot on lower Johnson.

Discovery Coffee

Discovery Coffee began with a love of coffee and has turned into a passionate exploration of what it takes to make only the best. Proudly based in Victoria. They have delicious doughnuts! Check out their Blanshard location.

Caffe Fantastico

Fantastico is a direct importer of the highest quality coffee beans from around the globe. Check out their Dockside location on Harbour Road and take a walk in Vic West.

Hide and Seek

Hideout and seek coffee. A cozy little spot tucked into the quaint Oak Bay Village. It’s difficult to decide what is more enticing, the options available for coffee on their rotating feature board or the delectable selection of pastries. After just one visit, you will forever have an excuse to explore Victoria beyond the City center. We love it here!

Shatterbox Coffee Bar

Shatterbox occupies a cozy space along Victoria’s eccentric Pandora Avenue, where they feature beans from Cobble Hill–based Drumroaster Coffee. Owners Kalen Harris and Karen Morrison are often found behind the bar themselves, filling the small shop with the buzz of conversation, and seemingly making a point to turn strangers into friends.
