I need a glass of beer, or a bottle, or a brewery in Victoria! Victoria is the cradle of the “craft beer revolution,” home to Canada’s first brewpub and some of British Columbia’s most popular breweries. Visionary trailblazers nurtured craft beer here alongside the local food movement, and today BC’s capital city is home to some of the country’s best breweries.

BC’s Biggest Craft Brewery. Brewed in Victoria, their craft beers are anything but ordinary, from your mainstay favourites to seasonal releases. They always kept it unconventional in all of their approaches to craft brewing, malting, and distilling as they constantly explore the craft beer frontier. Check out their awesome tasting room! Amazing staff, great tasting room. Our favorite is Blue Buck.

A master in his craft since 1989, Sean Hoyne continues to brew beer that is interesting, flavourful, and enjoyable at every level. We highly recommend the Hoyne Pilsner! Great staff.

Located in our favorite corner in Victoria, they are next door to Hoyne Brewing. One of the leader’s in BC’s Craft Beer industry. Three words: Fat Tug IPA. High quality locally made craft beer and great staff!

Vancouver Island Brewing

Part of a trio of breweries that kicked off the craft beer revolution in BC in 1984, VIB is still going strong today. This brewery has a great space – the tasting room is huge and you can walk upstairs and see some of the equipment through large glass windows.

Ile Sauvage

Do you love sour beer? If so, head to Ile Sauvage! Sour beers are their specialty and the guys that run this brewery are as creative and fun as their beers. The decor is really well done and they have maximized their tasting room to fit in a lot of people. Definitely worth a stop on any Victoria beer tasting tour.

Whistle Buoy

Fresh, local beer served up in Market Square. We love sitting on their patio in the summer months! They are inspired by the natural beauty and urban energy of coastal BC and hope to share their passion through their beer and their space.
